‘Why can't someone with a disability be a taxi driver?’
Ford Handicab
Ford has been committed to supporting disabled people in the workplace for many years. It's the first company in Europe to have a certified Disability Manager, with over 4,200 employees having a physical disability. When we found out that 55% of people with a disability still face difficulties finding a job, we aimed to change people's perceptions and launched 'Ford Handicab.' This is a taxi service with disabled drivers only, offering unsuspecting travelers free taxi rides in exchange for an open mind.
